Selling Gold & Jewellery - Windsor

A Specialist Valuation House on Your Doorstep

Six miles from Windsor Castle, our Egham office is the closest dedicated private valuation house to the Royal Borough. We work with Windsor and Eton residents on everything from heirloom diamonds to current-production luxury watches - privately, fairly, and with the discretion the area expects.

Why Windsor clients choose us

A specialist conversation, not a transaction

  • Closest specialist house to the Royal Borough

Windsor has antique dealers and high-street jewellers in plenty - but very few dedicated valuation houses. We are one of the closest specialists outside the town, focused exclusively on buying rather than retailing, which means our offers reflect trade value, not retail mark-down.

  • Familiar with heirloom and royal-era pieces

A meaningful proportion of pieces we value from the Windsor area carry historical or ceremonial significance - Edwardian and Art Deco brooches, mourning jewellery, presentation watches. We treat these as the heirlooms they are and price them on full provenance, not bullion weight.

  • Designed for the privacy this neighbourhood expects

Every appointment is one specialist, one client, by name. No walk-in showroom. We see clients from the Royal Borough specifically because the conversation stays where it should - between us.

How it works for Windsor clients

Three ways to engage with us

  • 1. Private appointment at our Egham office

A 15-minute drive from Windsor town centre. Appointments are confidential, by name, with a single specialist. Free parking, ground-floor access, refreshments while you wait.

  • 2. Home visit by appointment

For collections, or single pieces of significant value, we travel to a Windsor address by arrangement. Identification on arrival; written acknowledgement before the piece leaves your hand.

  • 3. Insured postal valuation

For smaller pieces or when timing makes a visit difficult, Royal Mail Special Delivery from any SL4 postbox reaches us next working day, insured up to £20,000.

Windsor - Frequently Asked

Local questions, answered

  • How long does the drive from Windsor really take?

Outside school-run hours, plan 15 minutes via the A308. The route is straightforward - Windsor Bridge, through Datchet, into Egham. We share specific parking instructions when we confirm your appointment.

  • I have a piece with royal provenance - does that affect the valuation?

Yes - genuine provenance (presentation cases, original documentation, named recipient) can materially increase value. We're well-practised at recognising and valuing pieces of historical significance and will price accordingly with supporting evidence.

  • Can we meet in Windsor rather than Egham?

For pieces of significant value or where a relative can't travel, we arrange a private visit to a Windsor address by appointment. Standard valuations of smaller pieces are usually handled most efficiently at our office.

  • Do you buy during Royal Ascot week?

Yes - and we often see a small spike in enquiries around Ascot for racing-related brooches and ceremonial pieces. We accept enquiries at our normal pace; appointments around race week book quickly so please give a few days’ notice.

A few quick questions about the metal and form. Only your contact details are required - the rest helps us prepare.

Which metal?*
What form is it in?*
What carat?

Look for a hallmark stamp - 9, 14, 18, 22, 24 etc. Leave blank if you're not sure.

Approximate weight in grams?

Optional but helps a lot - even a rough figure narrows the valuation.
